IOS's Lisa Johnson Obtains Quality Engineer Certificates

Imaging Office Systems congratulates Lisa Johnson on obtaining two Quality Engineer Certificates – medical device and non-automotive.  The certificate programs were offered through Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and had seven areas of study:
  • Understanding ISO 13485:2003 and 9001:2008 - Addressed the intent of the requirements with concentration on customer satisfaction, practical application and case studies.
  • Internal Auditing for the Medical Device Industry - Participants learned to facilitate the continual improvement of the quality management system through an effective internal audit process.
  • Failure Mode & Effects - Participants learned how FMEAs and control plans work together to address potential failure modes and to focus on high-risk areas.
  • Statistical Process Control - Topics included control charting for attributes and variables, histograms, scatter diagrams, and interpretation of various charts.
  • Measurement System Analysis - This program introduced participants to measuring and gauging systems with the concepts of bias, repeatability, reproducibility, stability, and linearity.
  • Mistake Proofing – This course examined defect prevention techniques, explored zero-defect measures, covered various mistake-proofing techniques, and how to deploy practical mistake-proofing measures.
  • Effective Problem Solving - The course emphasized the process of root cause analysis and 8-D or team-oriented problem solving.
IOS’s quality system governs all aspects of our scanning processes, custodianship, client acceptance, and documentation of change.  This training and subsequent certifications are part of the continuous improvement efforts and we thank Lisa for her hard work and congratulate her on her achievement.
